un·com·mon (n-kmn) – adj. un·com·mon·er, un·com·mon·est 1. Not common; rare. 2. Wonderful; remarkable.
Uncommon is our theme this year for KAIO Student Ministries. We are challenging you to be rare, wonderful and remarkable in your faith and actions in Jesus. We kicked off the new year last night (1-6-10) focusing on Luke 10: 30 -37; story of the Good Samaritan and challenged our students to view everyone through the lens of God’s heart and see the value that God himself sees. We have an uncommon God who sent his son; who had an uncommon love; that we may have an uncommon life. Here is a man that is lying on the side of the road half dead, and if the Samaritan did not stop to help the man; he would have died. What if we all had the mindset that the Good Samaritan had? – that if I don’t stop and do something for the person across the hallway, beside me in class, or with me in the lunchroom; they will die! Do you have that kind of value for others lives? If we believe in God and what he did for us and what that means for us and others, then how can we not?
