Jeremiah 1:9 – “Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said; “Look, I have put my words in your mouth!”

Wow! And I thought politicians and Emmy award winners had it made when giving speeches. (with their teleprompters and all) They have nothing on Jeremiah – right here in the opening chapter of this major prophets book we see the invention of the first (supernatural) teleprompter. He was telling the Lord that he was only a boy and that there is no way he could speak on the Lord’s behalf. The Lord set him straight and then gives him the most powerful and encouraging tool; “His Words”! “…I have put my words in your mouth!”. What could be more encouraging than to know that God can and will put His words in our mouths when needed. When we encounter people in situations of ridicule, discouragement, pain and even death; God allows us to speak with His words. Speak in confidence today knowing that God desires to be your teleprompter and you His spokesman!
