Jeremiah 1:9 – “Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said; “Look, I have put my words in your mouth!” Wow! And I thought politicians and Emmy award winners had it made when giving speeches. (with their teleprompters and all) They have nothing on Jeremiah – right here in the opening chapter of this major prophets book we see the invention of the first (supernatural) teleprompter. He was telling the Lord that he was only a boy and that there is no way he... (more...)
Are you one of those people who think often of where you are going and how you got to where you are? I know that I am. There has been a verse that I have been returning to time and time again this past year; its 1 Corinthians 11:1 and it says: “And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.”(NLT) Paul is simply saying here; let me navigate you as Christ navigates me. I used to think this was a scary statement to make to someone else. (put your life direction in my hands please)... (more...)
Last night at Kaio we talked about what it means for us to be filled with the Spirit and to live a life filled with the Spirit. Here is what Ephesians says; Ephesians 5:15-20 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms,... Last night we jumped into our 3rd installment of “29″. The main point of our challenge was to let your life be completely and fully led by the Holy Spirit. One of the top five significant moments in scripture was when Jesus fulfilled His promise in sending the Holy Spirit to rest upon and in our lives. (Acts 2) We have tried for to long to lead ourselves to a place of fulfillment and purpose. We are unable to achieve this without God’s Spirit guiding us. There is no better example... (more...)
The second addition of our series for 29 was amazing! If you missed it, here is a brief synopsis of what we discussed and challenged Kaio to live out: Acts 1:6-8 6 So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” 7 He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my... (more...)
