Last night we challenge our students to reflect Christ through their lives. What do we reflect? What do others see in us? Ourselves, Culture, Fads or Christ? How can we bring clarity to the image of God in our lives? We were made in His image you know! (Gen. 1:26-27) Paul tells in 1 Cor. 13:12 that we have problem that we fight against while here on this earth. It is that we see through a cloudy mirror or glass darkly. So the question once again is; How do we clear up the image of God in our lives... (more...)

We will be walking through the book of James from Sept. 29th – Oct. 13th. James addresses the problem of an uncontrolled tongue and the devastation that it leaves behind; the real origin of sin and what to do about it; and putting faith into action. In our block group discussions we hope to bring you face to face with the questions that strike at the heart of moral, ethical and social issues confronting believers today. Please join us for this engaging series as we walk through the book of James. Read More →
In a box I lived, and out the sun did come. Sting, did the light to my skin. Burning were my eyes. Melted, did I, as an ice cube in an incinerating oven. Hands fell apart Feet shattered Fall apart did the frame of that dusty old box I called home. The rain came then And cleansed my soul. Soothed my burning eyes did the holy water. Restored my burnt clothes and refreshed my skin. In the rain, burn not could the sun. Remade were my hands, And stitched together were my feet. Whole became I, Just as... (more...)
We had another great night at Kaio with our second week of Revolutionaries. We covered the thought of being consistent with our relationship with Christ. (When eyes are on us and when they are off of us) Short follow up here, but the bottom line is: “can we be just as passionate about the cause of Christ when we stand alone?” Col. 3:23 (we work as unto the Lord and not men) Read More →
Tonight we challenged the students of KAIO to be revolutionary in their faith! To live a life that would cause sudden change and impact the human endeavor in a way that turns their society towards a loving God. Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara said this about revolutionaries: “At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love…. We must strive every day so that this love of living humanity will be transformed into actual deeds,... (more...)
1 John 5:13 (The Message) “My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion.” This could be considered part 2 of yesterdays post on “Abracadabra”. Not all illusions fascinate me; some are dumb. (just saying) I must also say that I like the one in the picture above. Anyways, in 1 John 5 our author is talking about the power of our faith in Jesus. (vs.4) When... (more...)
I must admit that I love to watch magicians do their thing. As a matter of fact I was watching David Blaine last night and was mesmerized and terrified by what he was doing. The disappearing acts are the ones that truly amaze me. The ability to take a real item and make it simply….. disappear! What’s sad is the fact that I have performed like a magician in showing Christ’s love before. I have made his love disappear. Check out 1 John 3:16-17: 1 John 3:16-17 (The Message) This is... We had a fun and amazing night at Kaio! We payed homage to Baywatch, taught some biblical lifeguard principles and saw three students accept Christ as Lord and Savior. For those students that were here; accept the risk that is involved when trying to save a life. Don’t forget that there should be a lot of love involved and you are putting your reputation and spiritual status on the line. Then, remember the main objective of the lifeguard; Save Lives. Let us all take a hold of ever opportunity... (more...)
